Glow ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Glow - AI Wardrobe Stylist mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

• Account Information: Name, email address when you create an account.
• Photos: Images of clothing items you upload to build your digital closet. Photos are stored securely and are only visible to you.
• Style Preferences: Your quiz answers, thermal comfort feedback, and outfit history to personalize recommendations.
• Location Data: Approximate location (city-level) to provide weather-based outfit suggestions. We do not track your precise movements.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the app (features used, outfits generated) to improve our service.
• Purchase Information: Subscription status is managed by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details.

How We Use Your Information

• Generate personalized outfit recommendations using AI.
• Provide weather-appropriate styling suggestions.
• Build your thermal comfort profile for better layering advice.
• Enable friend connections and outfit coordination.
• Manage your subscription and account.
• Improve and develop new features.

AI Processing

We use Anthropic's Claude AI to generate outfit suggestions and identify clothing items from photos. Your closet data is sent to the AI for processing but is not used to train AI models. Photos sent for item identification are processed in real-time and not retained by the AI provider.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase: Database and authentication hosting.
• Anthropic: AI outfit generation and item identification.
• RevenueCat: Subscription management.
• OpenWeather: Weather data for outfit recommendations.
• remove.bg: Photo background removal (optional).

Friend Features

When you connect with friends, they can see your daily outfit choice (items and colors) to avoid clashes. They cannot see your full closet, photos, or personal preferences. You can disconnect from friends at any time.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use row-level security to ensure users can only access their own data. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Data Portability

You have the right to export all of your personal data at any time. Use the "Download My Data" feature in Settings to receive a complete copy of your profile, closet items, outfits, and thermal logs in a portable JSON format. This satisfies your right to data portability under GDPR and similar regulations.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete individual closet items, outfits, and posts at any time within the app. You can delete your entire account and all associated data directly from the Settings screen. Account deletion is processed immediately and removes all your data from our systems. For manual deletion requests, contact us at caden@myglowstylist.com and we will process them promptly.

Device Fingerprinting

To prevent abuse of our free trial offering, we generate a random anonymous identifier (UUID) that is stored locally on your device and associated with your account. This identifier is used solely to determine trial eligibility and is not used for advertising, tracking, or any other purpose. The identifier does not contain any personal information or device hardware details.

Children's Privacy

Glow is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app.
